I cannot imagine life without chocolate. I’m a chocoholic. You can imagine me finding out I was lactose intolerant and the dismayed expression that crossed my face. It was tragic to say the least. And then I did a crazy thing, I cut dairy out of my diet completely AND made it a goal for 2017, like wut?!
Well calm down, let me explain. I made sure to find and approve chocolate snacks that don’t contain dairy and that are dare I say healthier for you before giving it all up, one must be prepared when doing something such as this.
Anyways, all humor aside I have found lots that I enjoy and can’t wait to share on NINE OF 10, but today I thought I would share a super easy recipe for raw chocolate brownie bites. Recipe below.
To make 5-8 brownie bites you’ll need…
- around 10 dates
- 1/3 cup of cacao powder
- nuts of choice (optional)
- spoonful of vanilla
- pinch of pink salt (i used regular salt and they tasted just as good!)
then just blend it up, roll into balls. you may also choose to roll the balls into chopped up nuts to add some crunch or roll them into some cacao powder to coat them. fyi if you have trouble getting it to the sticky consistency then add some honey or agave and blend again.
And that’s it! Definitely worth a try, let me know if you try this out and tell me how you liked it!
