RORY GILMORE READING CHALLENGE

How it has already been a month I have no idea, yet here I am again with another reading challenge update. I read The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and I am so so SO disappointed. Y’all, I really tried to like this book but I just couldn’t. I really don’t want to go bashing classic American Literature but this book gave me serious John Steinbeck vibes with the whole tragedy aspect and I mean the debauchery?! Like hello entitlement town and seriously Gatsby? Get over the past, man alive! As you can tell, I was not a fan. I am glad I read it but it isn’t something I would read again.

Let’s talk about March. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is on the RGRC list and that would be next on my list but I have already read this book three maybeeee four times (because it’s that good) and I have watched the movie countless times (Gregory Peck will never get old 😉 ) So instead of reading To Kill a Mockingbird again, I have decided to read the “sequel” to it that came out just a few years ago called Go Set a Watchman, now THIS I am almost positive will not be a disappointment.

Wow. That was a lot. If you choose to join along and read something this month let me know what book you’re reading and how it’s going!
