Happy Friday! I promised I wouldn’t post about food again until next month and look who delivered?! 😛
Fashion is something I don’t talk about much on here BUT something I want to talk about way way way wayyy more. I have so many things to explain about this so I’m just going to spit it out.
Essentially what I’m trying to say is in high school I dressed trendy and simple and athletic all at the same time, now since I’ve graduated and I’m just working I wear the most boring clothes ever and I have had a really bad habit of buying shirts a size or two too big so they would be oversized, the picture above is a prime example, both shirts are a size too big and I don’t know why I did that because it’s NOT CUTE.
Because I don’t want to be wearing leggings, jeans, and a t shirt for the rest of my life so I thought this point in my life would be a prime time to rebuild my wardrobe. First off, I needed to define my style. Mine is causal, basic, classic, tailored, and a tidbit preppy. Next, get rid of the clothes you don’t wear, I JUST did this and I donated a ton and when I bring out my spring/summer clothes I will go back through and probably donate more. Lastly, start over! I will be buying one item a month to begin to rebuild my wardrobe and post each month about what I chose and put an outfit together and make it work with the items I already have. I really want to stay true to what my style actually is, not follow trends as much (unless I really love it), and not buy something just because it’s in front of me. So here’s to figuring out my style, sticking to it, and sharing it!
That was so much information!! You have no idea how much I edited out and didn’t say haha but if you’re still reading this you’re great and next months fashion post will be much better! I feel like I always need to preface what I’m doing and give context and background, so there you go!
