My boyfriend and I recently took a little trip up to the Seattle area for a Phil Wickham concert and I thought I’d share some of the places we ate, because that’s a big part of traveling.
The concert was in Edmonds (my hometown) so we were just driving around and decided to eat at a little bistro called FIVE. We had a charcuterie board and calamari as an appetizer and a pizza for dinner. Bryan and I are agreed that it was the best pizza we’ve ever had in our entire lives. Huge claim and pretty dramatic but it was so good!! I can’t wait to go back. The service was also impeccable.
We had this for desert at FIVE, it was sizzling and delicious. I burned my mouth on it but it was worth it.
The next day we were in Bellevue shopping so obviously I made a bee line for Pressed Juicery, I hadn’t ever had it before and I always see people all over Instagram eating the freeze. I got the chocolate macaroon freeze and it was delicious!
A few months ago Bryan went to Kirkland and ate at a place called DERU Market and didn’t stop talking about how good it was. It’s a local, organic, freshly made everyday type restaurant, so we happily went there for lunch. It was soooo cute, we’re talking subway tiles everywhere, it was white and bright, and so cute!
I had this kale, apple, quinoa salad as a side.
And I had this soup and sandwich as well.
I love writing these posts about food (shocking) and I hope you get some meal inspo or restaurant recommendations!
xx Laney
Thanks for the recommendations – writing them all down to save!!

Staying in downtown Seattle on Monday night and now debating whether Five is too far to go for pizza! I’m intrigued! Great read 🙂
