Here for a #nof10bucketlistyear check in! If you don’t know what I’m talking about check out this post real quick!
I’m going to be honest, I didn’t do many things on the list this month. It was an extremely busy month between work and keeping myself occupied with having more time on my hands since I am long distance *insert about a million crying emojis* but because the entire point of this list is to keep me from being a cry baby and try new things I said yes to a whole lot of babysitting opportunities, a lot of movie nights with the bff, late night drives with great friends, and a lot of girl dates with my ladiezz. January was hard but also really good, the blessings far outweigh the hardships. These few things I did off my list don’t even begin to explain the things I did and how God has ALREADY started to work in my life in this new season…the cool thing? It’s only February.
FIND THE BEST MATCHA LATTE IN TOWN: yup, The Local nailed it. I’m about it. Their chai is also so good!
JOYRIDE WITH A TREAT: okay, if I have time I frequently go for “joyrides” however I usually have a time constraint so I waited for a day when I could literally just drive until I didn’t feel like it anymore, I grabbed a chocolate chip bagel from Panera and drove until it got dark. I turned my phone off and threw my cares into the backseat of my car and just drove.
MAKE A CARE PACKAGE FOR BRYAN: I AM SO MAD I DIDN’T TAKE PICTURES! I am planning on doing this again so I will take pictures next time. The theme was healthy snack food and I went crazy and had so much fun putting it together.
GO ONE MONTH WITHOUT NETFLIX: this was necessary, Netflix became a really bad habit for me and I knew in order to accomplish the things I wanted to this year and create new habits it needed to go. So I successfully went one month without it and I really didn’t miss it that much, it got easier as the month went on. I did have movie nights with friends and family but no Netflix or TV shows! I’m really in no hurry to go back on so I’m reintroducing stuff reeeaallly slowly.
And there you have it, the first month of this challenge in the books! Also, I’m sorry if you thought that these updates would be easy breezy but that’s so not me haha, I make everything into deep life lessons, especially when I’m writing.
hope you enjoyed!
