WHEN YOU FEEL WEAK

I’ve been feeling weak. And naturally when you feel weak you lay down, take a nap, eat comfort food, relax, try to forget that you feel weak, or perhaps you feel stuck. This post is not about staying there, it’s about jumping up from that comfortable bed where your nap was waiting for you, it’s about taking charge of your feelings, and handing them to God and leaning into Him for comfort and the strength that He can supply if you’re willing to accept.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the Strength of His might.” Ephesians 6:10

I’m not talking about just saying “here’s my situation, take it” there must be action, give that anxiety, worry, stress, weakness, heartbreak, etc. to Him. And don’t you dare take it back, not even for a second, you’ve given it up, remember? When those feelings plague you, pray. Pray anywhere and everywhere. When they come back, fill your mind with things from above, God’s Word, worship music, etc. Even if you don’t feel like it.

Be a person who no matter your circumstances you are joyful.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:2-3

Escaping your own mind is the trickiest thing and it can quickly become a little prison and you stay and let yourself be tortured because it’s easier to be weak than it is to turn around and be strong. I’m so glad I don’t have to walk through this alone.

“Do not fear, for I am with you: Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous hand.” Isaiah 41:10

be encouraged and strengthened this week,

xx Laney
