Hello friends!
So I’ve been bad and have been using not natural body products and let me tell you, the reaction…NOT FUN. So basically I ran out of all my natural body wash, facial cleanser and toner, and my moisturizer and I didn’t get anymore because I was like “Oh DeLaney maybe you were just being super dramatic and don’t really need to get all that stuff again” HAHA LOL AT MY LIFE BECAUSE BOY OH BOY DID I NEED THAT STUFF. I have had the worst rashes. Ever. And then because my face is so dry I had been using coconut oil, which to an extent it was amazing, but THEN my skin had a reaction to it and my face broke out so bad and it’s a wreck right now. Sigh. If you use a coconut oil please please please use it sparingly.
SO the entire point of that story was to tell you about these AMAZING products I picked up today and give you a little first impression or review kind of thing. Basically me just talking haha 😉
To start off, I picked up the Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser because I would have had to order and wait for my all time favorite cleanser to come in the mail (you can find it here) and I needed something NOW. Also, because this inexpensive compared to what I usually get, and if this works well for me that’s more money I don’t have to spend.
Then I picked up a new Dr. Bronner’s, I chose the Almond Hemp scent this time around because one, I wanted to try something new, two, the peppermint that I tried last time leaves your skin cool and tingly, which I loved in the summer, but now that it’s cold and I’m basically a cold blooded human being (I think ice water runs through my veins) is no Bueno for this gal, and three because the smell reminds me of these cookies my mom made around Christmas because my older brother Andrew loved them. WOW that paragraph is one sentence. Oops.
And FINALLY, I picked up the Burt’s Bees Intensive Hydration Night Cream because my skin is, like I’ve said before, the SAHARA DESERT. Like the last couple of weeks it’s been so dry it’s been flaky and wearing makeup to cover up the reactions I was getting from the coconut oil made it worse!! I had originally planned on ordering something from LUSH but I could not take the dry skin anymore so I stared at the natural moisturizers for a good ten minutes in Target and went with my gut and got this one. Let me tell you so far it’s a 10 out of 10! My skin is still somewhat dry but after one application my skin isn’t a flaky mess!!! It’s so thick and rich. Ah I love it!
That’s all for now, have a wonderful Thanksgiving (expect a post on Friday all about it 😉 ), and thank you for reading!
love
DeLaney Joy
